Harrison’s 2024 competition show, “The Scientist,” featured the band donned in scientist lab coats while the Color Guard were costumed to represent an experiment.

Show music included adaptations of “Psychopomp” by Thank You Scientist, “Helena” by My Chemical Romance, Sting’s “What Could Have Been” ft. Ray Chen, and Sergei Prokofiev’s “Symphony No. 5 In B Flat Major.”

The show featured several standout performances, including a low brass opening complete with an army of trombonists, a running woodwind feature, a trumpet and alto saxophone duet, as well as solos from the baritone, flute, soprano saxophone, and alto saxophone. The band demonstrated mesmerizing marching, beautifully choreographed movements, and an explosive visual as the experiment entered into a phase of chaos, forcing the scientists to brainstorm a solution.
