Hoyas Will Compete at 2018 BOA Powder Springs Regional Championship

The award-winning Harrison High School Marching Band will compete in Music for All’s Bands of America (BOA) Powder Springs Regional Championship at McEachern High School on October 27, 2018.

The BOA Championship will feature 23 high school marching bands in the preliminary competition, evaluated by a panel of nationally-recognized music educators and marching band experts. The top 10 bands will advance to the evening finals competition, which will ultimately name the Regional Champion.

Fresh off their wins at the BOA Jacksonville and Orlando Regional Championships, the Marching Hoyas will be performing their award-winning 2018 show “Electropolis,” the story of a world overrun by technology. Lead by Drum Majors Sara Kate Frost, Emily Zant, and Madelyn Tanner, this year’s show features music from film composer Ennio Morricone, pop artists Daft Punk, and classical composer Sergei Prokofiev.

The preliminary competition begins at 9:45 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 4:45 p.m.The University of North Alabama Marching Band will perform in exhibition at the conclusion of the preliminary competition.

Gates will open for the finals at 6:45 p.m. with performances beginning at 7:45 p.m. All times are tentative pending the final schedule of performing bands. Current times will be listed at:
